Just a single barrel produced. The majority of fruit was destemmed as whole berries, with 25% left as whole bunches. Fermented in small open fermenters using natural yeasts, hand plunged. Aged in a near new barrique. No finings or filtration, bottled with minimal sulphur addition.

“Dark ruby with a very spicy and complex nose of baked fig, plum, blackberry, vanilla cola, a touch of liquorice, dried citrus rind, black tea, honeybush and sweet roasted duck.
In the mouth it’s silky and mouth filling with a lovely core of pristine berries and plum that have great intensity and sustain, but stay light and transparent the whole way through. It’s been beautifully balanced by acidity, seductively textured with finely woven tannins and moves across its arc with personality and complexity drawn from its characterful oak spice. It ends with a hum of cherry, blackberry and savoury spice. Delicious!”
